Half Marathon, Full Heart
On October 26th, we are running the Lisbon Half Marathon to equip an Angolan school with the tools to learn & dream. Your gift turns miles into school supply.

What your gift makes possible
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” (Nelson Mandela)
We want to give children in Angola a brighter start with the right tools to learn, create and grow.
Even a small donation makes a real difference: it can equip a child with a basic school kit of pencils, notebooks, or coloring materials and opens the door to creativity, confidence and a better future.

This project is led by us, two working colleagues & friends who share a passion for children’s education & (surprisingly) the joy of running.
After a casual 10k charity run early 2025 we decided to take on a new challenge: the Lisbon Half Marathon. It was clear from the beginning, that we wanted to give this run a deeper meaning than just participating. So we decided to turn our Lisbon start line into a way to equip an Angolan school with school supplies.

In a perfect world, I would invite the class to gather close, to lose ourselves in the magic of fairy tales, and then let the stories flow into colors and shapes through drawing, painting, and perhaps even little performances of our own. Instead, I sit at a desk, dreaming of what might be…
With the heart of a teacher, the vision remains clear: without even the simplest supplies, schools cannot hope to offer children the fullness of education they deserve.

Raising my kids constantly reminds me how lucky we are with the opportunities we have. I try to teach my kids that life, as we know it, should never be taken for granted.
I also believe that childhood should be a time to create, imagine, and think in colors. That’s why this project means a lot to me: by providing tools for learning and creativity, we can give children the chance to not only attend school, but hopefully also inspire them.
